ON YOUR FEET: The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan

ON YOUR FEET: The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan

Review by Thomas Routzong and Steven Skelley

We were fortunate enough to capture a couple of seats to "ON YOUR FEET: The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan" at the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, Florida. This musical is a smile-inducing, foot-stomping good time which shares the lives of Gloria and Emilio Estefan through the wonderful songs that we all know and love.

As children of Cuban immigrants, Gloria and Emilio faced poverty and racism with incredible strength and amazingly contagious music. Songs like  “Rhythm is Gonna Get You,” “Conga,” “Get On Your Feet,” “Don’t Want To Lose You Now,” and “Coming Out of the Dark” weave us through vignettes revealing the stories behind the songs.

Great seats are still available for the 7:30 pm,  Monday March 13 performance at the King Center –  https://www.kingcenter.com/events/detail/get-on-your-feet
