Splash Parks & Splash Pads
from Naples to Tampa!

A great (and most often FREE) option to entertain and cool off with the kids is visiting a local splash park or splash pad!
 
Here is a list of Southwest Florida's splash parks & splash pads from Naples to Tampa. Hours of operation vary between parks & some are closed certain days for maintenance or cleaning so be sure to check with the park before you go!

Naples
 
Eagle Lakes Community Park

Park hours: Monday-Sunday 8am-10pm.
 
The Eagle Lakes Community Park has a splash pad, lighted playground, baseball field, softball field, soccer field, football field, basketball court, picnic shelter, community center, fitness center, 1 mile paved pathway for walking/running, 2.5 mile nature trail, and public restrooms.

River Park Aquatic Center

Monday-Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday-Sunday 12pm-5pm
(The center will be closed on Sundays from Nov 5th-Dec 30th)
 
The River Park Aquatic Center features year-round free general admission. The heated (or chilled when the weather is hot) pool offers six lap lanes connected to a teaching pool which leads to a beach entry pool with interactive water feature. They also have a large shaded pavilion with ceiling fans, vending machines, and restrooms with showers. Guests are welcome to bring lunches or snacks.

Vineyards Community Park

The Vineyards Community Park is an attraction for families with little ones who enjoy the park’s interactive water play area and for those who love to picnic. It also includes a lighted playground, community center, 2 lighted softball fields, 4 soccer fields, 4 lighted comfort cushioned tennis courts, 2 lighted basketball courts, 4 racquetball courts, 8 picnic shelters, a walking trail, a pavilion and restrooms.

The Fleischmann Park includes a toddler playground, school-age children playground, water splash zone, picnic pavilions, 4 lighted racquetball courts, 3 lighted base/softball fields, 2 lighted sand volleyball courts, 2 lighted basketball courts, 6 pickleball courts, lighted football field and practice field, community center, and restrooms with water fountains.

The Lakes Regional Park offers splash pads, walking/running trails, wildlife viewing, cycling, fishing, gardens, miniature train rides, outdoor fitness equipment, paddleboard launch, picnic areas, playgrounds, rentals (bicycle and boat) and sand volleyball.

The Veterans Community Park is 95-acres full of activities for all ages. They have three exciting playgrounds – a boulder playground for climbing, a traditional playground with playweb, and a splash playground. Also included are four lighted tennis courts, two covered and lighted basketball courts, two lighted softball fields, a skateboard course, a 38,000 sq-ft recreation center, two dog parks (one for large dogs and one for smaller dogs/shy dogs/puppies), and guests are welcome to enjoy a picnic near the scenic lake.

The Fellowship Park was Cape Christian’s gift to the city – a park built by families, for families. The park is free & open all week for families to enjoy. There are also basketball courts, a splash pad, two shaded play areas and food/drinks available for purchase at Tony & Ada’s Café.

Located at 120 Laishley Court, this park  is a pet-friendly park that contains 17 acres of amenities. There is an interactive fountain for kids, walking paths along Punta Gorda Pathways-Harborwalk, 400-foot fishing pier, parking facilities, concert area & event lawn and Veterans Memorial Garden.

Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Pool Splash Pad

The splash pad features a transitional shallow wading pool with a small slide, downspouts, bubblers and many other fun features. Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Pool is located at 7001 San Casa Drive, Englewood. The fees are $3 for 16 years and up, $2 for ages 2-15, and under 2 is free. Centennial Park is located in the heart of downtown, between West Venice Ave and West Tampa Ave. It features Venice’s signature ADA-accessible gazebo, a children’s interactive fountain, picnic tables, benches, restrooms, a memorial to veterans, vehicle charging stations and 3-hour parking.

The Children’s Fountain is located in Bay Front Park (Ringling Blvd & Bay Front Drive) right in the heart of downtown. The Bay Front Park includes the Children’s Fountain, bicycle trails, canoe launch, equipment/facility rental, hiking trails, a pet-friendly park, picnic facilities, playground field, wildlife/bird watching, and restrooms.

While this park doesn’t have a splash pad or interactive fountain, I had to include it in this list because it has an awesome circus-themed playground with spray mist! According to what I’ve read, this playground was designed to mimic the style of the Ringling Bros Circus. It has shades to protect the little ones from the sun and lots of fun features within the playground itself. In the park there is also a skate park, running trail and café.

Riverwalk Family Fun Zone

As downtown Bradenton’s showpiece, the Riverwalk is known as Bradenton’s outdoor gathering place. Overlooking the Manatee River, the Riverwalk is a 1.5 mile, ADA-accessible park spanning downtown with many features. Features include: Family fun zone and splash pad, a great lawn for events, skate park, beach volleyball, mosaic amphitheater, day dock, Tidal Discovery Zone, shaded outdoor living rooms, fishing pier, pavilion and event area, Tower Plaza, Regatta Plaza, concession area and restrooms.

Pride Park

Splash pad hours: Starting Monday, August 13th the splash pad will only be open Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon – 4pm. The splash pad will be closed for season on Monday, August 27.

Pride Park Splash Pad is a 2,500 square foot splash pad area and contains 14 different spray features. Restrooms, water fountains, several picnic areas as also available for public use and a lifeguard is on duty during all hours of operation to ensure public safety. The 15-acre Pride Park also includes lighted basketball courts, benches, bike racks, gazebo, 3/10 mile paved multi-purpose trail, pavilion rentals, picnic tables, playground, restrooms, softball field, sand volleyball courts and water fountains.

The Lincoln Park Splash Pad is Manatee County’s newest state-of-the-art splash park facility that has 8 upright features and 13 ground sprayers.  Amenities at the Lincoln Park also include lighted basketball courts, benches, bleachers, lighted football fields, grills, ½ mile paved multi-purpose trail, pavilion rentals, picnic tables, playground, restrooms, lighted soccer fields and water fountains.

Anderson Park playground features a poured rubber surface under the play equipment and ADA Accessible sidewalks and restrooms. This is a very active park during the weekend and afternoon weekdays.  There is limited parking on the site however, parking garages are available within walking distance. The park has outdoor ADA restroom facilities as well as ADA restrooms located inside the community center located on the property.

Situated on the east coast of South Tampa, Ballast Point Park features a 600 foot pier, a shaded splash park, playground, picnic areas, a gazebo, a boat dock, a boat ramp and features stunning sunrises over Hillsborough Bay and an impressive view of downtown Tampa. The Taste of Boston restaurant offers food, snacks and bait.

The Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park is a waterfront park located along Garrison Channel in downtown Tampa. The 4.5-acre park includes playground equipment and a pier, as well as a memorial to the Seminole Indian Wars.

The new eight acre Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park features a unique urban design, sustainable construction, and operational features including reclaimed water for irrigation and LED lighting. Park amenities include the Great Lawn with flexible perimeter seating to accommodate a wide range of programming and performances, a dog run, a kiosk with restrooms, and a pavilion building with restrooms, park offices and space for a future vendor. There are also two interactive fountains: the Louver fountain and the Mist fountain.

The Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park is a stunning 25-acre park located just north of the University of Tampa and across the Hillsborough River from the David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts. The park has “The Play Cove” which offers a fenced children’s play area with equipment for children ages 2 years old to 12 years old. The play cove has shaded play structures and seating areas so children and parents can enjoy the park even on hot summer days. The park also features a 2,880-sq ft. River Center for special events, boathouse, festival lawn, dog parks and transient boat ramps, 6 concrete tennis courts, 2 pickle ball courts, basketball courts, and a multipurpose sports field for football, soccer, and lacrosse games, community event pavilion and lawn, picnic shelters and a community “front porch” with  game tables, movable chairs, and tables.

The Water Works Park has ADA Accessible sidewalks and restrooms and has one playground located in the park. The playground has an ADA poured rubber surface. The park has outdoor ADA restroom facilities located within a few feet of the splash pad and playground. The park connects to the Tampa Riverwalk, allowing you to explore the east side of the Hillsborough River and the downtown core. There is limited on-street parking available next to the park and additional parking available to the south of the park near the I-275 exit ramp.
